Welcome to Chesapeake Church in Huntingtown, Maryland. We believe that all people matter to God, full devotion to Jesus Christ is normal and excellence honors God. It is popular to say that God sustains us, yet this is a greater truth than we realize. It is in god's very nature to sustain His creation. It is often only when we see God working in times of want and in lands where prosperity does not flourish that we understand God wants all His people to thrive. and He calls on us to serve him that way.

God's grace, often considered His most elusive attribute, is actually the one we experience the most. Everyday Christians live under His grace as God withholds His justice through the mercy we receive from Jesus. This is why it is His grace we are to extend to the people around us.

August 13 & 14, 2016 - God's mercy is the result and effect of His goodness. It's His mercy that sustains during trying times. It's also God's mercy that protects us - especially from our own disobedience to Him. God's mercy also delights Him - especially when we adopt His merciful behavior toward others.

Justice is at the core of who God is. It is how we know " all things will come together for good" one day. God's justice is the product of His righteousness. His justice is also the means by which all sin will be adjudicated, and His perfect justice makes no mistake. How are we to respond to God's perfect justice?
