March 25 & 26, 2017 - John 11:17-37 - One of the big questions surrounding this miracle is: “Once Jesus heard that Lazarus was seriously ill, why did He delay in coming to him?” In fact, both Martha and Mary told Jesus had He been there, their brother would not have died. Jesus’ response brings us one of the most touching moments of compassion found in the Gospels. And perhaps the greatest lesson on comfort we can learn.
March 18 & 19, 2017 - Malachi 3:10 - The Test: God’s desire is for us to be blessed, protected and overflowing in His goodness and He actually challenges us to test Him in this. However, it is a test that the full community takes on. This week, we lift ourselves to a God-sized challenge – as we Serve One Another.
March 11 & 12, 2017 - Malachi 3:11 - The Safety: Never has the world seemed more at risk and dangerous. Protecting ourselves and our families is at a heightened level of concern heretofore unseen. Yet God promises to protect us and shield us from threats and harm, both from the outside and the inside. His commitment has been proven over and over again to those with the courage to meet it.
March 4-5, 2017 - Malachi 3:12 - The Blessing: God’s desire is that we would be a “delightful land” – one that the community around us will call “blessed.” But this is not something that just comes about by desire alone. To be the people God wants the world to see requires our willingness to live differently in the most challenging areas of our lives.
